The classes in Ireland are very different from those in Spain. In Transition Year (the course we were in) they change subjects and modules every six weeks. There are common subjects in Spain like mathematics, biology or history, but they also have other subjects such as music, cake icing, cooking, swimming, chess and mini-company. We especially enjoyed cake icing, where we made Halloween decorations like pumpkins and bloody eyes. The timetables were also different, classes started at 08:55, and we had two breaks, one from 10:55 to 11:05 and another from 13:05 to 13:45 for lunch. After lunch, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, we had two more classes and on Thursdays and Fridays, only one more class.

Food
The meals in Ireland are completely different from those in Spain. It is one of the things I have missed the most about Spain. They eat very unhealthy food and hardly eat fish, vegetables or fruits. They eat a lot of fast food and fries, like pizza, hamburgers…
The schedules are also very different. They have lunch quite early, around noon, and then they also eat dinner early at five or six in the evening.
But some weekends, the schedule changes. Instead of lunch, they have an Irish breakfast where they have eggs, sausage, black pudding and toast. And then they don't eat anything else until they have dinner in the evening.
Last day (5/10/2024)
Today was our last day in Ireland. We woke up at six o'clock in the morning to take a bus to Dublin Airport. We were very sad because we had to say goodbye to all our friends and families, as they have made our stay here so great, and it flew by. The flight was good, although there was a little turbulence. When we landed in Bilbao, I was happy to see my parents again, but at the same time, I was sad because it was the end of this amazing experience. This has been a great experience, and I really had a great time.
Cliffs of Moher and Surfing day (25/09/2024)
Today was probably the funniest day of all. In the morning, we went to the famous Cliffs of Moher. Although it was raining and very windy, I loved walking along them and admiring the landscape. After the walk, we visited an interactive museum about them. We had lunch on the cliffs and headed to the beach to surf. It was still raining and very cold, but we had a great time. We spent two hours surfing, but in the last 40 minutes, there were hardly any waves. When we finished surfing, we took a hot shower and had a hot chocolate.
Cork (22/09/2024)
Today we went to Cork all together. We were supported to go by train, but we lost it, so, Ellie, Jessie, Ally, Jimena, Sira and I finally went by bus. We arrived in Cork at 1:00 p.m. We were starving, so we immediately went to McDonnals to have lunch. After lunch, we met the other Erasmus participants and walked around the city, entering some famous shops like Penny’s, Mango or H&M. I especially liked the Marine Market, where there were food tracks and some shops selling second-hand clothes and nice jewelry. On the way home, we took the train on time without any problems.
Open Night (03/10/2024)
Today was the open night. In the morning, we went to school, and after school, I went to Amy's house with Andrea to have dinner, because Ellie had gone to the Dublin airport to say goodbye to her sister, who was going to spend one year in Australia.
Although at first we didn't know what was the open night, we had a great time there. It was a kind of open house for future students, with music, dancing, food and demonstrations. We had to stay in the Spanish classroom and speak Spanish to the people who came or tell them about our Erasmus experience.

Day 3 (15/09/2024)
In the morning I went to the supermarket with Ellie and Grace (her mom) to buy food which I like. At the afternoon we went all watching a hurling match, a typical sport of Ireland. After the match we tried to play hurling, but I didn’t do it very well, it seems difficult for me. At night, we went to Ardpatrick to join a concert of a popular group from here, “The Fogues” with Ellie’s siblings Éireann and Caitlin, her mother and her aunt Carmen. At the concert, I was with my Spanish friends and met some new pepople from Ireland. I really had a great time, even I didn't know mostly of songs.

Limerick
Today was our first day in Ireland and all the Erasmus participants went to Limerick, to pass the day. In Limerick, we visit the Milk Market, where we buy delicious handmade cookies and other emblematic places of the city such as King John’s Castle or the river Shannon. For having lunch, we went to the shopping center and ate a hamburger at Nadoo’s. After lunch, we had a great time shopping. At the afternoon Amy and Andrea came to Ellie’s house to watch a film, but the television didn’t work, so we finally went to Jessie’s house with Jimena, Sira and Ally. Anyway, we had a great time together playing UNO.
Day one
Today we took our fly from Bilbao to Dublin. We left Logroño around 13:00 and we arrived to Bilbao at 15:30. We passed all the controls of security and check-in without problems and we finally took off at 16:55. During the fly, we were very nervous about the beginning of this experience and about meeting the families. Finally, when we arrived at Dublin, all the Erasmus participants were waiting for us with a smile and with welcome signs. On the way to Kilfinane we stopped at a Subway, which is a place with fast food restaurants, for having dinner. That was the first time we ordered something in English, but we did it well. After 4 hours of bus, we finally arrived at Kilfinane and we went home.
